Synopsis
Every story needs a protagonist (the hero), something the hero desperately wants (a quest), a danger faced by the hero, and a robust antagonist (the person we love to hate!). Do you know an antagonist? Perhaps a neighbor across the street, a co-worker, or maybe even a boss?
In part two of our lesson on "Jacob and Faith," Steve Taylor teaches us Jacob was the perfect antagonist in the real life story revealed in Genesis 25-32. Only four verses into his biography, we see Jacob demonstrating a penchant for manipulating others – revealed by the story of his purchasing Esau’s birthright for a bowl of lentil stew!
