Here’s what I do:

  1. Gather information regarding event to be posted on the website (title, description, any pertinent links and an image).
  2. Log in to the website.
  3. Click on “Posts”.
  4. Click the “Add New” button.
  5. Enter the Title in the title field.
  6. Enter the description in the page content area.
  7. Embed any pertinent links in the description text.
  8. Check the “Events” category.
  9. Click the “Set Featured Image” link.
  10. Click the “Upload Files” tab in the Featured Image window if the image is not already in the media library.
  11. Click the “Select Files” button.
  12. Navigate to the folder containing the image to be uploaded to the website, click on the file name and then click the “Open” button.
  13. After the upload to the media library is complete, click the “Set Featured Image” button in the Featured Image window.
  14. Post the event by clicking on the “Publish” button.
